remember how i said i would have more time once i moved home? boy was i wrong! the day after i moved home robbie's dad came up to me in church and asked me if i would clean rooms for him at the hotel he manages, since i didn't think i had much of any job for the summer i said yes.
meanwhile, chad- the 'big brother'/uhp i play pranks on/events director for the city, wanted to help me out with my money situation, so he was giving me some things to do for baseball and then scheduled me for tournaments.
then monday the 23rd came around... robyn, the rec director, called me. she said she had decided to take maternity leave and that i was now going to be in charge, oh ya and tball started tuesday, softball wednesday, baseball thursday, and softball again on saturday. did i mention that not one coach had uniforms, equipment, safety forms, NOTHING!!!! to say the least it was an unorganized mess! luckily chad does 98% of baseball and helped me out for the first week to get me started.
so saturday was my 20th straight day working. when it hit me- all the stress lack of sleep and food, you know the essentials of i don't know, life? i had to call in sick to work at the hotel. pretty sure i have strep throat. honestly i'm surprised it took that long. and the only day off i have in may is mother's day so i can go to a farewell... so much for a summer right? but at this rate i'll have my rent all paid for in no time!!!
and if you live in the county and can call a strike or a ball, let me know, i need umps! the freakin lady scheduled all my softball games the same day as chad's baseball games so he gets priority of umps- and it's kinda hard to let high school kids ump behind the plate for 14 year old girls...
