week.

i have now officially been living on my own for a week and i would say i've done a pretty darn good job. i'm sure me and my roommate kristen will probably gain the freshman 15 because we are such awesome cooks! we haven't had to make top romen or mac and cheese yet- instead we've had homemade hamburgers, chicken alfredo, and spaghetti with all the fixings.
this week we had new student orientation. it's basically like efy. you get a group your assigned to then you go to devotionals and activities and classes and stuff like that. we went for the free stuff then skipped out on most of the boring things.
i have seen one person that i actually know- so lots of new people. most of which are from alta high school, because we hang out with my roommate's boyfriend and his friends alot.
it's a good thing i have kristen because my other roommates don't seem to really like us? have you ever heard how girls in other states don't get ready? ya we have that here. me and kristen are from utah (she's from hooper) then we have a roommate from ohio, texas, colorado, and montana. kristen and i are always out and about doing things (we've already been to a volleyball game, soccer game, an outdoor movie, and a couple of little pep rallies), and we come home to find our roommates in bed. i'm frowned upon for liking sports and for being organized and cleaning up after myself. it's a sin around here to put your dish in the dishwasher and heaven forbid clean up after yourself. kristen and i both got up around seven this morning to shower and look nice for church- first impressions you know- and everyone else got up at twenty to nine- and we had a ten minute walk to where our ward meets. all in all they are all really nice girls they just don't agree with us i guess you could say.
on wednesday my mom came up and we went shopping for things that i needed. she took me to one of her favorite little stores in lehi called rod works (go there! it's awesome!) and got me some cute frames and a tree to hang all my jewelry on, and we snuck in a cute wire bowel with decorative balls for my blah living room. she then helped me hang things up and make this place a little more homey (i'll show you pictures once the rest of my bedding gets here).
classes start tomorrow and i'm starting to freak out a bit- but my first class isn't until nine so i'll have a little time to find it (fingers crossed)
me jake and kristen (we were just missing his roommate paul)
this consists of our gang lately- and i'm sure for most of the semester

can you see all those kids? ya that's the majority of the freshman class- 5,600 kids- i make jokes about how that's more kids then people in my county and people think that's crazy! we were taking a class picture and we were in the shape of a Y. we wanted to be seen so we went clear to the top!
i'm sure there will be many great adventures in our future! and i'm sure grateful to my parents for raising me the way they did (not to be a slob ;) ) and i really love those cute brothers of mine. i guess landon helped contribute to their win in football on friday, playing the entire game except for about 30 seconds, and he even went to a high school dance for the first time in his life! i think his jr. year will be a good one for him! dillon made 14 of his teams 20 points for a win in his game and started high school this week! it was hard for me to miss but my mom does a good job of keeping me posted and i'll be seeing them before too long! anywho that's the update for the week- hopefully i make it through this week so i can give you more updates! ha over and out!
