by looking at the title you might think this post is about homework, but in all reality, school work as really been neglected this week. i have rediscovered the awesomeness of my kindle and the places that i can go through books. i'm almost through my 2nd book since wednesday! and i helped make a ping pong table. yup you read that right, i made one.
she's pretty huh!
the boys have really enjoyed it and they have learned tricks like bouncing the ball off the cabinets etc.
the first item in the ping pong museum of apt 28
as you can see they named the table "la chic de cougarette"
long story short my girls state roommate (taylor) is probably going to get married to my old home teacher (jeff lewis). she's from salina. he's from minnesota. she's at suu, he's a byu. they actually met through another girl at girl's state's boyfriend (they were mission companions) totally funny that we all know each other! so i've gotten to know a few of the boys in their apartment. they have a list on the wall of the way they are going to make their apartment/man cave so awesome. they already have a projector and screen for tv and movies so the next thing on the list was a ping pong table. the one who was really pushing this was jeff burns, he's a funny kid from arkansas, he did some research and the cheapest table he could find that was worth getting was in north ogden. monday morning i was thinking i was going to have a boring holiday, but burnsy called me up and asked what i was doing for the next couple of hours, my mind thought road trip? but he doesn't have a car? we ended up going to home depot getting a very sturdy piece of plywood (cut in half), a can of spray paint, and a roll of white electrical tape. next stop was the mall for lunch and to get a net and some paddles at sports authority. after we found someone to go pick up the wood we were in business and within an hour we were playing some ping pong! the table is just a little short (4 x 8) then a regulation (5 x 9) but it works perfect for a college guys apartment!
