sos!!

 i will be the first to admit our apartment is very bland. but it has gotten worse. my roommate that is getting married inherited some couches for after the wedding. long story short we ended up with one and so did the fiance. but here's the problem: it's a light cream color. against white walls(it's a stretch calling them white, they're very dirty/old white). the roommates vetoed my idea to paint last semester and now they are wishing we had painted, but now with only a few months left, it's not worth it. we are thinking we need something dark above the light couch. any suggestions?! we need all the help we can get! either leave a comment here, text me, leave me a message on facebook, i don't really care- i just want ideas!!! pretty please and thank you!

 and keep in mind we are poor college students :)

 and yes that is a shelf full of food in the corner. i want to set it up in flames every time i look at it.

and yes i know how ridiculous that very small picture is in the middle of the wall. i didn't get a say in that one.
